I’ve always been creative with sketching—doodling really, painting, writing poetry, and photography—my camera is always with me.
I started at Kean University, majoring in graphic arts—the more technical side, architectural design, and CAD classes for my first year and a half. Then, I had a semester of B&W photography with a brilliant photographer and teacher, Donald Lokuta. I stumbled into a field called graphic design and fell in love with it. I changed my Bachelor’s to Fine Arts with a focus on Visual Communication / Graphic Design. I never looked back, and I still love what I do.
My design experience encompasses a variety of responsibilities, projects, industries, and years of experience that enables me to be an asset to the right company. Throughout my career, I have worked in advertising agencies, marketing agencies, an in-house design department for a clothing apparel company, and an in-house production department for a publishing company of psychological assessments and software companies.
I am a creative problem-solver who effortlessly multi-tasks. I skillfully and efficiently manage complex projects with aggressive timelines—an excellent collaborator who comfortably works autonomously with a keen ability to plan and prioritize. I’m detail-oriented and organized. I continuously exceed internal and external expectations on projects I design and my project management. I mentor and manage creatives confidently with the ability to empower and discuss constructive feedback with problem-solving solutions.
I enjoy learning new programs and taking courses to enhance my skills. I get excited when I have to work in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Figma; they are my favorite newer skills. Adobe XD is on my plate now.
When I’m not working, I’m still creating, whether making furniture or refurbishing it—painting with acrylics, writing poetry, or expressing myself through photography. Creating is therapeutic to me.
I’m known to shoot a good game of pool. I love the surprised look on their faces after we play. Oh, so you don’t want to play me again? Okay, good game!
But my all-time favorite thing to do is hang with my fur boys, Opie and Jax. They are such love bugs; the unconditional love they give every moment of every day is priceless.
